My five favorite movies?? It is difficult to answer, but, let's try:
- Dracula, from Coppola, because of photography.
- Lord of the rings, despite of not being so loyal to the book, it is a fantastic movie.
- Tropa de Elite, a great brazilian production.
- Crash, because of the interconnections among the stories.
- Gladiator, also a great production.
Well, that's it!
Cláudia.
I believe that my favorite film is Before Sunrise, which is kind of similar to saying that I must be some sort of hopeless romantic.
Then comes Ame Agaru, Kurosawa's classic not directed by Kurosawa. In a way, it's also about love, just not about romantic love.
I must mention Star Wars, but I am not going to select a favorite. Let's say that the overall magic and universe of the six movies is just fantastic.
Forget not Casablanca. A classic!
A war-time that is not really a war film: Mr. Roberts.
And then There's the Day the Earth Stood Still, Terminator, Blade Runner, 2001, Riff Raff, Carrer Girls, The Balboa films. It is hard to choose, but I think I've named some of those I like best.
